  • “Thank you Mary Ann for being such a Great Hostess!!! You have an amazing place for travelers to rest their weary bones, did not want to get out of bed!!! The breakfast every morning was YUMMY and FulFilling!!! Thank you for suggestions of where to go and for not ‘hovering’ over us. Kitty was very friendly and gentle. Your BNB was just as described, is an easy walk to Resurrection Bay or downtown. Everything was Just Right!!” Kathee, AirBnb

  • “Enjoyed our stay. Mary Ann is a well of knowledge. She guided and helped us at every turn. I’m a bird watcher and Mary Ann had all the information to make our trip great! We loved the breakfasts, excellent, tasty and easy to eat on our own schedule. I’m glad YOU chose to stay here, because I know you will be as happy as we were. Kevin and Jane Heying, Brunswick, GA

  • “Mary Ann does a great job from the time the reservation is made. She suggsted a fabulous boat tour of the national park that wildly exceeded expectations, told us where to find all the great seafood in town, and even shared her adorable kitty Clementine with us for purrs and pets. Would come back in a heartbeat – truly an Arctic Paradise!” Kerry- AirBnB

  • AMAZING! Love Seward and all it has to offer. Thank you for sharing your lovely home. Love your “Baked Oatmeal”! V&W, Sante Fe, NM

  • “I LOVE the Arctic Paradise B&B in Seward and stay there on every trip. MaryAnn is a great hostess. Abundant healthy food options, great coffee and a warm, cozy bed are a certainty. Many times we have stayed up late into the night playing music on her impressive collection of world percussion instruments and sharing stories, laughter and a bottle of wine. I almost never leave without a new favorite pair of spiral and blown glass earrings made by the wildly artistic Mary Ann. Seward is a jewel of a community with a great harbor, breathtaking views of mountainscapes/seascapes to sketch, paint or photograph, great restaurants, hikes and outdoor options, a charming downtown, and one of the prettiest drives in the world from my hometown of Anchorage. Highly recommended!”  Melissa, Anchorage Alaska.
  • “Mary Ann goes above and beyond for all her guests. She is a wildlife biologist and very knowledgeable about the local flora and fauna as well as information on any outdoor adventures you would like to part take in. In addition she is one of the most creative and talented individuals I know. She plays numerous musical instruments and makes gorgeous jewelry, glasses and much more. If I did not already live in Seward I would definitely stay with Mary Ann. You will not be disappointed. Gorgeous accomodations and wonderful hospitality”.  Deb Burdick, Seward, Alaska.
  •   “Mary Ann’s house is wonderful with a breathtaking view! I would definitely stay there (if I did not already have a house in Seward. I also take dance classes from her she is an amazing teacher. We not only learn to dance, we learn the history behind the dance and thoroughly enjoy ourselves! If you have ever wanted to make jewelry but did not know where to start you can take a class. I have been to her house to make the type of jewelry I make and she showed me several ‘tricks of the trade’. Mary Ann is a fantastic lady one who will make your life richer by knowing her!” Judy Nerup, Seward Alaska.

  • We have been providing guide service here in Seward for years and our our customers without excepting have given us the thumbs up on Arctic Paradise B&B. We see lots of folks each year and this is the overwhelming consensus that we have received from them.  Adventure 60 North

  • There are two things about a place- the house and the host. In this case, both were perfect. The house- perfectly located- a few minutes walk to the harbour front and eateries. Mary Ann has a beautiful home- very tastefully done. Makes one feel right at home. Mary Ann herself. She went above and beyond for us. Thanks to her, we had a wonderful kayaking trip- we had originally booked with another company, but she went the extra mile in doing the research and recommending another, and doing the entire booking for us, which turned out fantastic. She is very warm, friendly and thoughtful. She makes an awesome breakfast as well, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Thank you so much Mary Ann for making our trip so memorable. We will def come back.  Lekha Nair, Airbnb

  • That is absolutely a pleasure to stay with Mary Ann! She was nice , friendly and caring. And her house is totally sweet. With the different breakfast everyday, you can feel as if stay with your family! Yvonne Qian,  Airbnb

  • We awoke each day to a view of Resurrection Bay and the mountains beyond. Arctic Paradise is convenient to all of the attractions which Seward offers. Mary Ann’s daily breakfasts were a delight. We enjoyed her artistic touches throughout the unit. URick, Trip Advisor

  • Comfortable, Convenient and Charming.  My husband and I were on our first trip to Alaska, and wanted to explore the Kenai Peninsula, see glaciers and observe wildlife. I stumbled across Artic Paradise on AirBandB….What a treasure! Mary Ann really wowed us with her knowledge of the area, best places to eat, grab coffee, and awesome places to explore. It was great that she was such a helpful and knowledgeable- having a wildlife biologist as a hostess sure has its perks! We enjoyed her kitty, and the lovely room….. Very cozy and comfortable. Loved the liveliness and colors of her home. I also was intrigued with her beautiful stained glasswork and jewelry….I may have to order a few more pairs of earrings for Christmas. Loved the breakfasts! Especially the baked oatmeal with salmonberries and crowberries….. It was lovely having MaryAnn to ourselves, as she only has one room to rent. She even booked a wildlife and glacier cruise for us when we voiced our desire to take such a cruise. She told us also about the Mt. Marathon race and local racers… Seward is also a great little town to run in- my husband and I are both runners, and it was a great way to see more of the town. Thank you MaryAnn! IF we ever come your again, we would love to stay again!  Ann M. Trip Advisor

  • Hidden Treasure in Seward. Mary Ann has created a wonderful place to stay in Seward. The room is cozy with all the amenities needed. A mini fridge, microwave, coffee pot, and set table, all in the room. The healthy breakfasts were there in the fridge waiting for when you choose to eat. She also provided popcorn (my husband’s favorite). Mary Ann was very helpful and we loved talking with her while playing with Clementine.  Brian S., Trip Advisor

  • You have done a fantastic job with the décor. The happy yellows and deep reds are a great combination. I also love the various stained-glass light fixtures etc.; they make the room and your house all the more quaint. Finally, your choice of music is great. It was very pleasant to open the door at night or in the morning and hear classical music coming from the living room. Nice touch! Kristin- Atlanta, Georgia
