Each piece is infused with meaning, sacred geometry, and the energetic power of that intention. The colors, the symbols, and the layers of the art work quietly in the background of your awareness, holding a specific energy in the space around you.
The art in this room was created with the intention of connecting you to the magic of Alaska — its wild beauty, stillness, profound connection to nature, and sense of community. It is an invitation to slow down, reflect, and connect with the natural world surrounding you.
You don’t have to do anything with it, think about it, or understand it. Simply being in this space — the art supports you through the feeling and energy it surrounds you with.
That is what energy art does. It doesn’t just decorate. It holds the energy of a place, a moment, an intention — and offers it to you quietly, every moment you are here.

The Energy Art
The pieces surrounding you are from my Connect With the Magic of Alaska collection — the winter series.
Alaska’s winter is unlike anything most people have ever experienced. Here in Seward the mountains rise straight from the ocean. The silence is profound. The northern lights dance across the sky in colors that seem impossible. Snow transforms the familiar into something sacred and still.
This is the world that inspired these pieces, based on the following poem I created.
Alaska’s winter — a silent ballet unfolds,
Nature’s canvas draped in glistening white and cold.
A spiritual meeting, a dance of introspection,
Where stillness whispers profound reflection.
Mountains cloaked in snow, in a majestic embrace,
As northern lights illuminate this beautiful space.
Connection to nature, a sacred bond,
In winter’s hush, a tranquil beyond.
Communities gather in warmth’s sweet embrace,
Unity blossoms in the cold’s tender grace.
Cultural traditions and stories unfold,
As winter’s tapestry weaves threads of gold.
Animals brave the frost with spirits untamed,
A dance of survival, in winter’s domain.
The dance of lights in the polar sky,
A celebration of hope, soaring high.
Darkness yields to the sun’s gentle kiss,
In the spiritual meeting of winter’s bliss.
The Art You Rest With
The energy art in this room doesn’t stop at the walls.
The blanket on your bed and the pillows surrounding you carry the same art — the same colors, the same intention, the same energy of an Alaskan winter. So even as you rest you are wrapped in it.
The stained glass pieces you may have noticed — the juice glasses and the martini glasses — were handcrafted by me as well. Each one bringing color and light into the space in its own quiet way.
The Bathroom — Release and Renew
The energy art experience continues into the bathroom.
The shower curtain is printed with Regenerate #15 from my Release — Regenerate and Renew series. And the alcohol ink art on the wall carries that same energy of release and renewal.
Where the bedroom art invites you to connect with the magic and stillness of Alaska, the bathroom holds a different invitation — to release what no longer serves you and step out feeling refreshed and renewed.
Every shower becomes something a little more intentional. The perfect place to let go.
An Intentional Space
Every element of this room was chosen with care.
The salt lamp glowing softly fills the air with negative ions — known to support calm, clarity, and a sense of wellbeing. The grounding sheets on your bed connect you energetically to the earth — the same powerful grounding energy that surrounds you here in Alaska. The faint scent of lavender on your pillows and sheets is there to support deep and restful sleep. And the warmth and glow of the electric fireplace invites you to simply be still.
None of this is accidental. This room was designed to help you rest more deeply, breathe more freely, and feel — even if just for a night or two — the extraordinary magic of being fully present in one of the most beautiful places on earth.

I am Mary Ann Benoit — your host.
I have lived in Seward and offering this Bed and Breakfast for over twenty five years. Before I became an energy artist I spent thirty years as a wildlife biologist — ten in Arizona and twenty here in Alaska. I have walked these mountains, paddled these waters, and sat quietly in these forests watching birds, bears, eagles, lynx, and countless other wild creatures go about their extraordinary lives. I am also an interior designer and owner of Northern Lights Home Staging and Design.
Alaska got into my blood …. and my art and design.
